My painting practice explores personal representational narratives through the mediums of oils and watercolours.

Often culminating in recurring surreal and dreamlike imagery, my work is rich in form, colour, emotion and visual metaphor.

I strive to make meaningful connections between seemingly disparate processes, contexts and images, derived from my conscious and unconscious perceptions of reality, thereby realising my values of growth, wonder and connection.

Thank you for taking the time to view my work.

Megan F. Shine

Emerging Australian based painter, Megan Shine, creates surreal and dreamlike imagery rich in colour and form.  Working in oils and watercolour, her work explores personal representational narratives infused with themes of self-discovery and freedom.

Her nine-year parallel career in law and mediation served to sharpen her observational skills, enhance her interest in human psychology and heighten the emotion in her artwork.

Megan’s work hangs in private collections in the USA, Canada, UK and Australia and she exhibits widely in her home State of Queensland.
